Dominating the landscape of Wonosobo, towering tall as neighbors to each other at 3,150 & 3,371 masl, Mt. Sindoro & Mt. Sumbing are rewarding climbs as they feast your eyes to the tremendous view of Wonosobo's farmlands and plantations, the majestic neighboring mountains and the craters it selves from the top. While the summit of Mt. Sumbing is a rocky peak, the summit of Mt. Sindoro is covered with Edelweiss and its fragrant scent. Reaching both peaks of these twin volcanoes will give any adventurers a massive sense of reward and achievements.
Day 1: Jogjakarta – BaseCamp Sumbing to POS 3 (D)
Arrival at Jogja. Transfer to Basecamp Sumbing.take about 3 to 4 hours.
After registration we start walk to POS 3 and camp here take about 5 to 6 hours.
Day 2: Mt. Sumbing (B,L,D)
After early breakfast at 1.00am we start trek to Summit, to summit need to take 5 to 6 hours.
Summit to base camp take 6 hours then to hotel overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Hotel to Mt. Sindoro base camp to POS 3 (B,L,D)
Hotel to Mt Sindoro Basecamp take an hour.
Mt Sindoro basecamp to POS 3 take about 7 to 8 hours.
Camp at POS 3 and Overnight.
Day 4: Mt. Sumbing – Jogjakarta (B)
Early morning at 2.00am attack to the Summit of Mt. Sindoro take 4 to 5 hours. After sunrise descending to Base Camp and soon transfer to Jogjakarta airport.
