Duration: 19 Days Maximum Elevation: 6470m Grade: Hard Season: Mid September to November and March to mid May The trek starts from Kathmandu to Jiri by bus or fly to Lukla airport. At Jiri a very rare tribe called the Jiri gal inhabitants the area. At first the trek crosses through many passes and then reaches Sherpas valleys, passing through monasteries and Lamjura pass (3500 m). The flora and fauna in this area is Rhododendron. The treks go down to slopes an up, and also the possibility of snowfall is. Mera Peak is easier but to reach the high camp (Mera La) is quite difficult, the other option is to return to Lukla or directly to Amphu Lapcha. There are Lake nestles like a sparkling jewel amongst verdant-forested hills at the heart of Nepal's second least visited National Park. At just over 5 km (3 miles) in length, it is the largest body of water in the country. Outline itinerary: Day 01 Kathmandu to Jiri drive Day 02 Jiri - Deurali, (2550 m) Day 03 Deuralil - Kenja (1600 m) Day 04 Kenja - Lamjura (3500 m) Day 05 Lamjura - Solung (2500 m) Day 06 Solung - Manidingma (2000 m) Day 07 Manidingma - Bupsa (2200m) Day 08 Bupsa - Tham dada Day 09 Tham dada - Chhatara. Day 10 Chhatara - Tashing dingma Day 11 Tashing dingma - Tag Nag (3700m) Day 12 Rest Day in Tag Nag Day 13 Tag Nag - Khare (Mera base camp 4500m) Day 14 - 15 Climbing Period Day 16 Base camp - Kothe Day 17 Kothe - Thuli Kharka Day 18 Tuli Kharka - Lukla Day 19 Lukla - Kathmandu
