Lower Dolpa

Duration: 20 Days   Maximum Elevation: 5120m

Grade: Medium , Season: Mid September to November and March to mid May

Dolpo Trek Located on the isolated corner of Trans Himalayan Zone Dolpo is a virgin and divine land in Mid-Western Nepal. Shey-Phoksundo National Park in the core of Dolpo Region is famous for snow leopard. A great Naturalist Rodney Jackson conducted his research on snow leopards in Shey Phoksundo area. The Dolpo is famous for deepest Lake Phoksundo in entire Himalayan Region. Mother Nature created a unique and wonderful treasurer like Dolpo, which is being the shelter of many rare alpine living beings. In spite of tough trails and rugged topography journey to Dolpo area is a lifetime experience. Tourists rarely visit Dolpo Region and the trekking route is very narrow and steep at places, so good hiking experience is essential for this trek. The altitude ranges from 2500m to 5070m.

Day 03 Jumla - Gothi Chaur (2780m)

Day 04 Gothi Chaur - Naphukana  (2990m)

Day 05 Naphukana - Chaurikot  (3070m)

Day 06 Chaurikot - Hurikot (3760m)

Day 07 Hurikot - Gorphug (3950m)

Day 08 Gorphug - Kagmara Phedi (4240m)

Day 09 Kagmara Phedi - Kagmara pass (5120m) - Yudon (4400m)

Day 10 Yudon - Rigmo (3540m)

Day 11 Rest day at Rigmo, explore the "Shey Phokshundo lake"

Day 12 Rigmo - Bagala phedi (4450m)

Day 13 Bagala phedi - Bagala Pass (5190m) -  Numla B.C. (4500m)

Day 14 Numla B.C. Numla Pass (5149m) - Dhotarap (4030m)

Day 15 Dhotarap - Rigo Phucave (3490m)

Day 16 Rigo Phucave - Lahini (3200m)

Day 17 Lahini - Khani gaon (2950m)

Day 18 Khani gaon - Dunai ( 2150m)

Day 19 Dunai - Juphal (2440m)

Day 20 Juphal - Nepalgunj, fly 30 mins, Nepalgunj - Kathmandu, fly
