Introducing

Mount Semeru, the highest volcano in Java, 3.676 meters above sea level,and one of its most active, lies at the southern end of a volcanic massif extending north to the Tengger caldera, also called with the famous name Mahameru (Great Mountain). Gunung Semeru was constructed south of the overlapping Ajek-ajek and Jambangan calderas.This volcano is located in the regency of Lumajang and Malang ,East Java and lies along a N-S trend cutting through the summit, and cinder cones and lava domes occupy the eastern and NE flanks. Semeru has been in almost continuous eruption since 1967. The continuous activities for the past 41 years, attrack everybody from all over the world to explore the beauty of this friendly volcano. Both in 1913 and 1946, the crater Jonggring Saloko ,reached the highest peak up to 3.744 m, then in early 1973 , due to the lava and hot lahar flew to the south part of the vulcono till the village of Pronojiwo and Candipuro in the regency of Lumajang.2.990 explosions were noted, occurred in November 1997. On the top peak of this Vulano,all visitors are advised not to get the crater of Jonggring Saloko, as well as not to climb from the southern path, due to the poison gas and the sudden stream of hot lava. The average temperature of 4 – 10 degree celcius can be felt on top, meanwhile in the dry season (summer time in Northern part of the world, North America and Europe, round June – Sep , the temperature can be dropped up to 0 (zero) degree celcius, where the visitors can find the light crystal ice. The hard blown wind can happen in Dec – January, in which some storm follows. All characteristic of Semeru will bring the uncomparable memory to everybody ever experience the beauty and the mystery of this Java highest volcano.

Day 01 Surabaya – Tumpang (D)
Pick up at Juanda Airport then Drive to Malang , Overnight in Tumpang Village at Homestay.

Day 02 Ranupane - Ranu Kumbolo- Kalimati Camp (B,L,D)
After breakfast,  drive to Ranupane Village about 1,5 hours and starting to trekking  to Kalimati Camp or Arcapada Camp (about 6-7 hours).  Having lunch and short break at Ranu Kumbolo . Stay overnight in Kalimati Base Camp .

Day 03 Semeru Summit –RanuPane - Cemoro Lawang(B,L)
at 02.00 PM, climb to Arcapada   than continued to summit about 3 hours, After Reaching the summit enjoying the amazing view, because Semeru is the highest land in Java . Then we descend from summit back to Kalimati (camp) to have breakfas and rest  than continue to Ranu Kumbolo and after lunch continued trekking to Ranu Pane   via Mount Ayek-ayek . After Arrived in Ranu Pane , having lunch and   rest  continued to Mt Bromo by jeep cross savannah . Check in Hotel in Cemoro Lawang.

Day 04 Mount Pananjakan – Mount Bromo (B,D)
at 04.00 Drive to Mt Penanjakan with 4WD jeep, enjoying sunrise and  enjoy the magnificent view of Mt Semeru and Mt Bromo.Then we will drive you through  ocean of sands across to go to peak of Mt Bromo . Back to Hotel and transfer out to Juanda International Airport Surabaya.
