Walk through villages, then climb through forests into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a valley surrounded by high Himalayan peaks. A great opportunity to get into the mountains without the altitude problems of the Mt. Everest

This fantastic 13-day trek offers the most spectacular landscape views of the Himalayas, allowing you to be completely immersed in the heart of the towering Annapurna range. Altitudes of 4130m are reached, and a reasonable level of physical fitness is required to comfortably complete this expedition.

The journey commences in the ancient city of Kathmandu; from Kathmandu we will board a bus to Pokhara for an overnight stay. The trek begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara, from where we will take a short bus ride to Phedi (900m) village, where the adventures really start. Ascending along the trail through a number of beautiful Villages e.g. Dhampu , Pothana ,Landruk and bank of river to village of Jhinu Danad we can enjoy baiting in the soothing hot springs. As we ascend to the village of Chhomrong, we will be able to appreciate crystal clear views of the infamous and unconquered Machhapuchhare (Holy fish-tail Mountain, 6900m). Trekking through some breathtakingly colorful rhododendron forests, we follow the trail to the Himalayan Hotel (2840m), where we can admire dramatic views of the Himalayan scenery. At Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700m) we will take some time to acclimatize to the altitude, admire the awesome mountain-scape of Annapurna III (7600m) and IV (7400m) and marvel at the colossal icy form of the Machhapuchhare Glacier. Continuing to the Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) we can see the sunrise over the immense stature of Annapurna I (8019m). As the dawn breaks, we will be able to appreciate the fact that we are completely surrounded by the soaring Himalayan peaks. There is also a lot of fun to be had playing in the snow of the vast Annapurna Glacier. The final highlight of the trek will be to climb Poon Hill (3210m) from where we will enjoy our last scenic views of Himalayas and surrounding rice terraces (a photographers paradise!). Descending to Tirkhedhunga, we will be transported back to Pokhara, our final destination.
