| Surrounding Sapa town are the Hoang Lien Mountains, nicknamed the Tonkinese Apls by French. These mountains include Fansipan which at 3143m is Vietnam's Highest peak. The summit of Fansipan is 19km from Sapa town and can be reached only by foot. For trekking to Fansipan no ropes or technical climbing skill are needed ,just endurance. | ||
