This course is
specially designed to enable participants to respond to first aid
emergencies in settings where professional medical help is more than
two hours away. This course is ideal for those who lead outdoor adventure,
expeditions and field trip programmes.
One of the unique features of this course is its
scenario-based casualty management training approach. This course
provides a wide range of real life simulations of first aid situations
you can expect to happen in the wilderness setting. Each simulation,
played out on the wilderness environment, is followed by a debrief
session to give participants constructive feedback on their accident
response and patient care. Simulations become complex each day,
bringing to light issues such as leadership, group management and
decision making.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants
will be issued with a Certificate of Proficiency, valid for three
